In a footnote, Bell added that “Since the completion of this paper such a proof has been found.” He published it in his 1964 paper, “On the Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen Paradox.” In this paper he derives Bell's inequality, the basis of his conclusion of quantum nonlocality. (See the entry on Bell's Theorem. Figure 1 displays all of these properties. This theory successfully solved many outstanding problems, particularly those related to physics at the microscopic level, and currently provides the broadest understanding of the physical world at the most fundamental levels.
